James Haluska Obituary

James A. Haluska Sr., 75, of Pine Street, Pottsville, passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, with his family at his side, at his residence.

Born Jan. 10, 1946, in Pottsville, he was a son of the late John and Dorthea Knapp Haluska.

He attended Pottsville High School, and was employed as a truck driver for Koppenheffer & Son Trucking Co., Reading, until his retirement.

Jim was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. He enjoyed watching television shows such as "Gomer Pyle" and "How It's Made." He loved visiting historical sites, such as Gettysburg, and museums.

Preceding him in death was his brother, John O. Haluska.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Krobert Haluska, to whom he was married for 46 years; a son, James A. Haluska Jr., Pottsville; a sister, Patricia Haluska, Pottsville; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are private. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St., Pottsville, PA 17901, or Saint Clair Historical Society, P.O. Box 187, Saint Clair, PA 17970.
