James Hepler Obituary
Born in Mowry, May 26, 1938, he was a son of the late John L. and Olive Smith Hepler.
He was a graduate of Ashland High School and was a Marine Corps veteran.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Ashland, and a member of the American Legion of Campbelltown.
Jim worked for 25 years at Hershey Foods, Hershey, until retirement.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Dawn Glowacki.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Ann Metzinger Hepler; three daughters and a son, Kimberly J., wife of Mark Reilly, West Pittston, Jennifer L. Hepler and companion, Douglas O'Connell, Campbelltown, Alison, wife of Ron Wolfgang, Wyoming, Pa., and James L., husband of Samantha Hepler, Waynesboro; eight grandchildren, Emily, Katie, Gavin, Jack, Landon, Lorelei, Matthew and Bridget. He is also survived by a sister Helene Smith, Lavelle.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, North Ninth Street, Ashland, with the Rev. Dana Heckman-Beil officiating. The viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the church. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of arrangements.
