Janet C. (Coyle) McDonald, 79, of Girardville passed away on Saturday at her home with her family by her side.
Born in Lost Creek on Oct. 13, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Eleanor (Shearn) Coyle. She graduated from the former Immaculate Heart Academy, Fountain Springs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William F. McDonald Sr. in 2005; two sisters, Virginia "Virge" Wood and Barbara "Bobbie" Dooling; a brother, Francis "Frankie" Coyle.
Janet is survived by her son, William F. McDonald Jr., Girardville; two daughters, Sherri McDonald, Bethlehem and Janelle McDonald, Girardville; one grandson who she adored, Ryan M. McDonald, Schuylkill Haven; two great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Rowan McDonald; three sisters, Ele McGarvey, Jackie Isherwood and Kiki Goodman; one brother, Patrick Coyle; two sisters-in-law, Patricia "Patsy" Coyle and Andrea Coyle; many nieces, nephews and cousins that she thought the world of.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. from St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Girardville with her "favorite" cousin, Monsignor Edward Coyle as the celebrant and Father Giuseppe Esposito as the concelebrant. Friends are invited to her visitation at the church on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Fountain Springs.
