Joseph Struzinsky Obituary

Joseph F. Struzinsky Jr., 60, of Ventura, Calif., formerly of Saint Clair, died Monday.

He was born in Pottsville, Oct. 12, 1958, a son of the late Joseph F. Sr. and Eva Ann (Yvonne) Lipsky Struzinsky.

He was a graduate of Nativity BVM High School, Class of 1976.

He resided in California for 30 years. He worked in the business office for Samson Clinic as biller, coder and credit analyst.

Joe loved coming home to spend time with his family and friends especially his nephews and niece.

He loved going to the casino with his family and friends.

He enjoyed laughing and spending time with his faithful and best friend, since 10th grade of high school, Frank Generella.

He loved having visitors in California and always was a great host showing them all the spots in California.

He had two cats, which he loved, Baby and Prince. He enjoyed visiting the SPCA when home with his niece, Victoria.

Joe was a kind and generous person with a contagious smile, always laughing and happy. He will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Francis Struzinsky.

Surviving are his mother, Yvonne, Saint Clair; his wife, Martha Struzinsky, Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Sharon, wife of John Modesto, Pottsville; his nephews, John, husband of Chelsea Modesto, Orefield, Christian, Allentown; and his niece, Victoria, Pottsville; aunts, uncles and cousins; his many friends both near and far.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at St. Clare of Assisi Church, Saint Clair, with Monsignor William Glosser officiating. At the behest of the family all visitation shall be private. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA, 51 SPCA Road, Pottsville, PA 17901, or Nativity BVM High School ,1 Lawtons Hill, Pottsville, PA 17901. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville, is entrusted with the arrangements.

Sharon & your family, I just want to say I just got the news of Joes passing. I want to tell you Joe was a part of some of the happiest times of my life in HS!! He was funny & he was quick to laugh at the silliest things. Great athlete & tennis player easpecially since I dont think he ever had lessons?! I really loved being around Joe! He left us way to soon!!! Joe, God bless you buddy!!!! You were one of a kind, in the best sense of the way! Im so sorry I never heard in time to come to your funeral. I definitely would have been there!! Again, God speed to heaven!

What a wonderful friend growing up in Elementary School and on into High School. We had many a great basketball games on his rim attached to the garage in Saint Clair. Never saw Joseph after our separate HS graduations but I'm certain he was a great people asset to the state of California. Always will be included in my night prayers. Rest in peace my friend and God Bless your family.
