Julia H. Pitrowski, 90, of Minersville, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born June 18, 1930, in Newark, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Julian and Mary (Zinkiewcz) Nowick.
Julia was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah. She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. In her early years, she was active with the Catholic Daughters, Catholic War Vets, AMVETS and Pottsville Senior Center. She loved to travel and take bus trips to NYC to see plays and Broadway shows.
Julia was the proprietor of the former William Penn Hotel, Pottsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J. Pitrowski, in 1967. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Surviving are her sons, Anthony, San Luis Obispo, Calif., and John, Fairfax, Va.; daughter, Cheryl, Minersville. She is also survived by grandchildren, Christine, Anthony, Bianca, Julia and Sophia; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. The Rev. Edward O'Connor will officiate. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W.
