Loretta Williams Obituary

Loretta M. Williams, 86, of Williamstown, passed away Tuesday at home.

Born in Williamstown, Sept. 21, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Myrl Whitman Buggy.

She was a 1943 graduate of the former Williamstown Catholic High School.

Loretta was the former owner of Lancaster Soda & Lunch and The Children's Toggery of Lancaster. She retired from the state Department of Labor and Industry.

She was a life member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown, and a social member of Williamstown American Legion.

Loretta was a devout Irish Catholic whose love for her family was unending. Her family will carry her love and life lessons with us each day.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David R., in 1992; two brothers, Charles Buggy and Joseph Buggy Jr.

Surviving are a son, David R. Williams and his wife, Kathy; a daughter, Monica Williams; four grandchildren, Erin, David and Dale Williams and Erica Kasper; two sisters, Arlene McDonald and Gloria Lenker; a brother, George Buggy; nieces and nephews; six great-grandchildren; and lifelong friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown, with the Rev. C. Anthony Miller as the celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Memorial donations in Loretta's name should be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church c/o parish office, 732 Main St., Lykens PA 17048 or Hillside Animal Shelter, 51 SPCA Road, Pottsville, PA 17901.
