Margaret F. Bedway

1948 - 2024

Margaret F. Bedway, R.N., 75, formerly of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, March 3, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Born April 3, 1948, in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Mohan) Forbes.

She was the widow of Paul J. Bedway.

Margie graduated from Nativity BVM High School in 1966 and Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing in 1969.

She worked as a private duty registered nurse and built a successful business with her husband.

Margie was a member of Church of The Nazarene, Schuylkill Haven. She also belonged to the Pottsville Hospital Women's Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Forbes.

Margie is survived by her daughter and caretaker, Tammy, wife of Dan Amato, of Orwigsburg, and their son, Dean and his fiancée, Arizona; her stepson, Paul Bedway Jr. and wife, Kim, daughter-in-law and friend, of Orwigsburg, and their children, Amanda, wife of Mike Adams, and PJ Bedway and wife, Ashley. Margie is survived by four great-grandchildren, Connor, Carson and Olivia Adams and Brody Bedway; her sister, Kathy "Tash" Brazinsky, wife of Mark, of Port Carbon, and their son, Brice; three sisters-in-law, Fran, Roseanne and Joann; dear friend, Lesa Fredericks; and beloved feline companion, Icy, and canine companion, Louie.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at noon Monday, March 11, at Schuylkill Memorial Park Chapel, Schuylkill Haven, with a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park. At the family's request, memorial donations in Margie's name may be forwarded to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn. Processing Center, P.O.
