God looked around his garden
And He found an empty place.
And then He looked down upon the earth,
And saw her tired face.

He put His arms around her,
And lifted her to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.

He knew that she was suffering,
He knew that she was in pain,
He knew that she would never
Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed her weary eyelids,
And whispered"Peace be thine."

It broke our hearts to lose her .
But she didn't go alone,
For part of us went with her,
The day God called her home.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time. Mary Ann and I were 1965 graduates of PHS. During our high school years both she and I were caught up in the John F. and Jackie Kennedy era as many of us were back then. I could imitate Jack and she-Jackie and we had alot of fun speaking in their voice whenever we would see each other. She wrote me an eloquent letter on blue writing paper to Jack from Jackie talking about the White House which she passed to me in the hallway.{I still have the letter] She was a great lady and one I will always remember with special fondness. God Bless. George S. Lord

Mrs. Garrity (Mrs. G as I lovingly called her) was such a great first boss. I remember walking into AAA and being so nervous for my first interview at the tender age of 17; Mrs. G. immediately put me at ease. We had an instant connection. She was the kind of boss any person would be lucky to have--kind and gentle but yet stern. She was a mentor--a lover of education and shared all she knew with those around her. She was like a mother figure to me because I was so young. I admired her as a mother because she had such a strong sense of family values. She had pride in her Italian roots and always shared stories of her children, husband, siblings, nieces and nephews. I felt as if I knew these people. We shared many laughs and many cries over the course of our AAA days. My thoughts and prayers are with the Garrity and Codi families at this sad time. However, I know that the family's deep religious beliefs will guide them through this difficult time. Remember, everytime you hear a bell ring, an angel gets its wings--there's no better time than Christmastime for an angel watching over you! God Bless.

Pat & Family:
Mary Ann and I worked at the AAA together till I moved away with my husband. I was also a neighbor of the Garrity family in St. Clair. My memories of Mary Ann, our work and the AAA family are still vivid now. I will think of that often. My most sincere condolences to Pat & the family.

Pat & Colleen,
Among Mary Ann's many gifts was the ability to put pen to paper and create something so heartfelt and warming that the receiver always felt her tremendous love and respect. I wish she was writing this for me because then I would know for certain that you would truly know how saddened I am at her passing. I didn't see her much in the years after both of us left the AAA; but, I thought of her often. I've had many bosses in years past; but none that could ever compare to Mary Ann. She will always hold a special place in my heart, and, I will miss her greatly. My prayers and condolences are with you and your family at this difficult time.
