Peter J. Selinsky III, age 65, of Catawissa and formerly of Gilberton, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, a resident of the Sunbury Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Peter was born on Monday, Sept. 15, 1958 in Ashland, a son of Ann Thomas and the late Peter Joseph Selinsky Jr. He graduated from North Schuylkill High School, Fountain Springs. After graduating, Peter faithfully served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1982. For many years, Peter was self-employed as a painter where he was known as "Pete the Painter" until his retirement. He loved drumming and music, watching movies, football and baseball. Pete enjoyed going to myrtle beach with family, learning about history, playing in bands and helping others.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Janalene Bensinger.
Survivors include his mother, Ann Selinsky, of Gordon; a son, Hunter Selinsky, of Catawissa; three siblings, Jeanann Lute and husband, Ted, of Gordon; Raymond Grosser and wife, Nancy, of Oklahoma; Laura DeFalco and husband, Bill, of Birdsboro; also the Bittner family and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Selinsky family.
