Richard D. "Wimp" Wagner, 72, of Landingville, passed away Monday, Feb. 26, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street, Pottsville.
Born July 28, 1951, in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Jay and Joan (Walters) Wagner.
He was married to Judy Ann (Hoffman) Wagner for nearly 51 years.
Wimp was a 1969 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School.
He was a member of Welcome United Methodist Church, Landingville.
Wimp was a devoted member of Landingville Community Fire Company, where he served as past fire chief. He also belonged to the Shirttail Inn Hunting Club.
Wimp worked for OMNOVA Solutions for over 30 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Wendy Wagner, of Landingville; two sons, Paul Wagner, of Pottsville, and Michael Wagner, of Landingville; two grandsons, Zachary and Andrew Wagner; a brother, Hugh Wagner, of Schuylkill Haven; and a sister, Elaine Mamrak, of Easton.
A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, at Geschwindt-Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. Interment services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, in Park Hill Cemetery, Landingville. The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to Landingville Community Fire Company, 1 Firehouse Road, Landingville, PA 17972.
