Kathy, Bobby, and Beth,
Wishing you peace and comfort at this time of sorrow. Bob was more than a friend. He was a confidant, a mentor, a leader, and a craftsman. I valued his talents and his contributions to Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Wrestling, St. Paul´s festival and much more. He lived the Scout law - trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. He was the best of the best.
I´m sure St. Peter welcomed him with highest honors.

I had the pleasure to work with Bob at St. Luke´s Hospital Anderson. He took me under his wing and showed me the ins and outs on campus. He gave me the training to succeed as an electrician on campus. He was a mentor and a friend. I and the entire Engineering department will miss him dearly. God Bless!

I had the pleasure of knowing Bob during my years of working at Sacred Heart. He was a kind gentleman, committed to his family and a dedicated SH employee. We use to see he in chapel and talk of retirement, travel and your grand children. I hope the happy memories your family has gives you some comfort.

Bob and I worked together a century or so ago in Pottstown, at the Holiday Inn on High Street. He was in charge of maintenance for the entire property and very knowledgeable and efficient he was. A gregarious guy and a "Skook," which endeared him to my late wife, who also hailed from Minersville. Lynda and I were present at the Gemmell nuptials, in Schuylkill Haven, I think, and always had fond memories of Bob, Kathy, his family, and his lunatic circle of friends back in the 70s. Condolences and sympathy to Kathy, the children, the extended Gemmell family, and Bob's many, many, friends. RIP.

I only worked with Bob five short years at SHH. Bob was always very friendly and willing to help. I will miss seeing Bob back at the chapel on Sunday mornings. He always enjoyed talking about the trips he and his wife took. I offer my sincere condolences to his wife Kathryn and son Robert. May Bob rest in peace.
