Robert Joseph Yanek Jr., 64, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, at Conestoga View, Lancaster.

Born in Pottsville, on May 18, 1957, a son of the late Robert J. Yanek Sr. and Regina (Walsh) Yanek.

He was the husband of Lisa M. (Trapani) Yanek.

Bob was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School and then attended Harrisburg Area Community College. He worked as a mechanic at his family business, Bob Yanek and Son.

Bob had a fun loving spirit. He was a loving and compassionate person. He was honest, even to a fault, and his loyalty was unmatched.

In addition to his wife, Bob is also survived by his son, Luke Yanek and his significant other, Nicole Cwiertniewicz; a brother, Randy Yanek and wife, Lisa, and two sisters-in law, Shelly Boyer and husband, Rob, and Missy Roeder and husband, Brian, and a brother-in-law, Mike Trapani and wife, Jody. He is also survived by nieces, Amanda Smolock and husband, Ryan, Brianan Roeder, and Kerri Trapani; and nephew, Derrek Boyer and wife, Lauren.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with Pastor David Rowe officiating. A viewing will be held prior from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial contributions made payable to Pottsville Area School District with "Bob Yanek Scholarship" on the memo line of your check.
