Roland Leonard Miller, 89, East Mill Street, Pine Grove, passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, at The Gardens at York Terrace, Pottsville.
Born Oct. 15, 1932, in Donaldson, he was a son of the late Russell and Mirium Leonard Miller.
He graduated from Frailey Twp. in 1949, Tremont High School in 1950 and Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades in 1953.
Roland served in the Army from 1953-1955 in Fort Leonard Wood, Miss., with the Bridge Co. 51st Engr. BN, 6th Armd. Div.
Roland was a carpenter by trade and worked for CH Klinger, Pine Grove, and E.R. Steubner, Reading. His craftsmanship can be found all over Pine Grove.
He was a life member of the H.H.&L. Fire Company No. 1, Pine Grove.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Dorothy Bretzius Miller; a daughter, Jane Hammond; and a brother, Russell Miller.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara and husband, Rodney Luckenbill, of Pine Grove; a son, Roland Miller II, of Pottsville; four granddaughters, Judy Anderson, Sarah Coy, Janice Balulis and Emily Luckenbill; and six great-grandchildren.
All services will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Salem United Church of Christ, c/o Lisa Smith, 120 Spring St., Tremont, PA 17981.
