Ronald Luscavage Obituary

Ronald "Ronnie" Raymond Luscavage, 74, of Shenandoah, passed away peacefully at Pennsylvania Hospital on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, with family by his side.

Born in Shenandoah, he was a son of Felix and Regina (Leonarczyk) Luscavage.

Ronnie was a proud graduate of Shenandoah Catholic (The Mighty Atoms) and RETS Electronic School. He also attended Penn State University.

Prior to his retirement, Ronnie worked for the Borough of Shenandoah as the wastewater treatment plant manager for over 30 years. He and Mary were the proud original owners of Pic A Pac Restaurant in Mahanoy City for 19 years.

Ronnie was a member of the Polish American Fire Company, St. Casimir's Church, the Jaycees and was the past president of the local AFSME Union.

Ronnie loved being a Pop Pop and doted on all of his grandchildren at every opportunity. His sense of humor toward life and everyday situations was legendary amongst family and friends.

Ronnie enjoyed sports and avidly followed Penn State football, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies. He also enjoyed fishing, trap shooting, going "down the shore" in the summertime and taking trips to the casino.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Luscavage, and his brother-in-law, Dominic Amato.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary (Amato); his son, Anthony and wife, Jennifer, of Conway, South Carolina; his daughter, Gina Ross and her husband, Michael, of Plymouth Meeting. He also has six grandchildren, Brittannie Luscavage, Alexandria Luscavage, Nicholas Luscavage, Olivia Ross, Jonas Ross and Jacob Ross. Ron also has nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Divine Mercy Parish, 218 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in Divine Mercy Parish with Monsignor Ronald Bocian officiating. Interment will follow Mass in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Contributions in Ronnie's name may be made to either: Father Ciszek Prayer League, Downtown Shenandoah Inc. or the Shenandoah Public Library.
