Special Angel
There's a special Angel in Heaven
That is a part of me
It's not where I wanted him
But where God wanted him to be
He was just here a moment
Like a night time shooting star
And though he is in Heaven
He isn't very far
He touched the hearts of many
Like only a Angel can do
I would have held him every moment
If the end I only knew
So I send this special message
To Heaven up above
Please God take care of my special
Angel (Tommy) and send him
ALL MY LOVE
I WILL ALWAYS LOVE AND MISS YOU. LOVE, LORI

Dear O'Connor Family,
I 'm sure you already know, but I wanted to tell you how grateful Tom was to you for all you did for him after his operation. He never stopped talking about how good you were to him and wondered what he would have done without you. After he died, he would have been so proud - not because of how beautiful you made all of the memorials and ceremonies for him, but...because of how strong you were and still are...just for him. He loved you all so much. As your hearts are broken, so too, is everyone's who knew, loved, and misses him. He'll always be with us in spirit. May God watch over and protect you...I'm sure Tommy is.

ONE DAY AT A TIME
We're only human
Help us believe and all
we can be and all that we are
Show us the stairway, we
have to climb.
Lord, for our sake please teach us
to take one day at a time.
One day at a time sweet Jesus
That's all were're asking from you.
Just give us the strength to do
every day what we have to do.
Yesterday's gone, sweet Jesus
and tomorrow may never be mine.
Lord help us today, show us the way.
One Day at a Time.

Dear Tom,
Every night when I kneel down to Pray I make a long distance call to Heaven your way. I couldn't speak when you came on the line, I'm sorry if I bothered you, but, you were on my mind. I had to talk to you before the night was through and a friendly call I thought you would not mind. I called to say "I LOVE YOU, ONE MORE TIME"
I Miss you

Dearest Bucky,
You know that I know your sense of loss if you remember Nov. 22, 1941 on the same corner , when we lost our dear little Anna Marie. You were there for her and my Mother when she was little and you were always there for my sister, Patsy and my Mother when Patsy died. You are going to have a special place in heaven. Meanwhile your beloved Tommy is with his Mother and his Grandmother and all those wonderful O'Connor's who are taking care of him.
On second thought, if he is anything like you, he will be taking care of them.
God Please Bless All Of You.

All my respect,
Helen Kerrigan Flannery

On New Year’s Eve
I went to work
My office was so bare
No party hat upon my desk
No streamers on my chair

Reality – it hit me
I fell in to a stare
No more decorations from you
No hints that you’d been there

Many times throughout the day
I stopped and thought of you
Just can't believe you're gone, Tom
So again I asked, “God, why?”
I many never know or understand
But I guess I have to try

Later on at midnight
Again I thought of you
I toasted you – our friendship
And blew a kiss or two

This morning brought a new day
With it a brand new year
A time for new beginnings
A time to smile and cheer

Smiling isn’t easy
Knowing that you’re gone
But the memories you left behind
Will push us to move on.

Happy New Year, Tom. I miss you…
Everyone misses you.
I hope you’re cuddled in the arms of angels.

With love from your forever friend,

The pool side will always be our favorite place of hearts!

Down a street far away
And see a face in the crowd…and smile
Knowing how you made me laugh
Hearing sweet echoes of you from the past
I will remember…
I will remember you -
So, please remember me.

Thinking of you always, but especially today. Merry Christmas, Tom. I hope you are happy in the arms of the angels. I miss you.

Oh we never know where life will take us
I know it's just a ride on the wheel
And we never know when death will shake us
And we wonder how it will feel

So goodbye my friend
I know I'll never see you again
But the time together through all the years
Will take away these tears
It's okay now
Goodbye my friend

I've seen a lot things that make me crazy
And I guess I held on to you
We could've run away and left well maybe
But it wasn't time and we both knew

So goodbye my friend
I know I'll never see you again
But the love you gave me through all the years
Will take away these tears
I'm okay now
Goodbye my friend

Life's so fragile and love's so pure
We can't hold on but we try
We watch how quickly it disappears
And we never know why

But I'm okay now
Goodbye my friend
You can go now
Goodbye my friend

To The O'Connor Family,
I can't begin to imagine the black cloud of loneliness hovering over your heart right now. Tom's death was so sudden, so completely unexpected. I will always remember his laugh and great sense of humor. He was a wonderful supervisor, co-worker, and out standing, close friend. I will miss him very very much. Tom will live in my heart forever, nobody will ever take his place. When the grieving path is too steep to climb it is all right to lean on others. Here, take my hand and my heart.......we'll take this journey together.
We Love You Tommy O. Our forever friend. You have my Love and Prayers. So sorry for your loss.

Dear Uncle Bucky, Maureen, Diane and Maura, there are no words to take away your pain. May comfort of great memories and love carry you all through this terrible time. Tommy & I just had a great laugh together on Monday as he told a fellow co-worker that he & I got married while he was off from work, the fellow co-worker in dismay looked at me and I said "Oh yeah, I met him in a bar last week and fell in love instantly". We laughed so hard. I've been blessed by being part of all your lives. You can be sure of one thing, Jerry's Pub is open and John Feeney saved him a seat!! Take care and god bless all of you. Diane, Maureen and family,

When my mom told me the news, I was heartbroken. I always wonder why bad things happen to good people. You all are truly some of the most genuine, kind people I have ever come across. I am privileged to call you family friends. Your brother is in a better place, where there is no pain, and if you can imagine, every day is probably as happy for him as a fall Saturday in South Bend, with perfect weather and great seats, watching Notre Dame beat USC, Penn State, etc. etc. Maybe he'll chat up the big guy, as all good Irishmen can do, and get us a winning season next year. :)

He will always be with you, and so are my prayers.

Love Always,

Jule Ann Joyce

December 15, 2008

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. May the rains fall softly upon your fields. And until we meet again. May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
Gaelic Blessings to all of Tom's family.
We are thinking and praying for all of you during this very difficult time.
With Sympathy,

To my dear friend Tom…

Little did we know yesterday
There would be no tomorrow.
Our last laugh - was our last gift
Now today is filled with sorrow.

If I’d only had an inkling
Of the course fate planned that day
I’d have fought it and defied it,
And you’d still be here today.

You left - I’m devastated
I’m in shock and disbelief
Confused and so bewildered
And overcome with grief.

But, oh what joy you brought me
From the very day we met
Your contagious smile and laughter
By no means will I forget.

Oh how I’ll miss your presence
Your echo through the hall
Your kindness and your caring
Oh how I’ll miss it all.

Oh how I’ll miss your antics
The chuckle, grin - the ‘eye’
Your friendship was so precious
I’ll say ‘thank you’ – not ‘good-bye’.

I know we’ll meet again one day
You’ll turn, and there I’ll be …
So, my dear friend, save me a seat
Til then - rest peacefully.

I will forever love and miss you,

Carol (Kitsock) Siemons

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
