Tyler L. Carl, 27, of Sweet Arrow Lake Road, Pine Grove, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital in Orwigsburg.
Born March 27, 1996, in Pottsville, he was a son of Christopher Carl, of Pine Grove, and Jessica Hoover, of Schuylkill Haven, and her fiancé, William Powell, of Reading.
Tyler was a 2014 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School.
He was a fork lift operator at Big Lots in Tremont.
Tyler was a very unique and loving person. He loved spending time with his family, especially his nephew, Braxton. He had a number of tarantulas and collected rare artifacts. He also enjoyed playing video games.
He was a social member of the Pine Grove VFW and Pine Grove Fish & Game.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are three brothers, Alec, Colby and Dakota Carl; a half-sister and -brother, Emmaleigh and Caiden Carl; grandparents, Kenneth and June Carl, of Pine Grove, Raymond and Vicki Hoppes, of Orwigsburg, and Michael and Doreen Derfler, of Pine Grove; a great-grandmother, Virginia Derfler, of Pine Grove; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home, Pine Grove, with Pastor David Brady officiating. There will be a visitation from 9 until 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions in his memory to help with expenses be made to H.L.
