Wayne K. Parfitt

1935 - 2023

Wayne K. Parfitt, 87, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday while a resident of The Gardens at York Terrace.

Born Sept. 26, 1935, he was a son of the late Howard and Mary Parfitt.

He was a 1953 graduate of Pottsville Area High School.

Wayne was married to the late Eileen C. Seltzer, who passed away in 1992.

He was of the Protestant faith.

Wayne worked most of his life for Rockwell Industries and retired from there after 32 years of employment.

In his spare time, Wayne enjoyed mechanical work and working on cars.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Powers, and a daughter-in-law, Sunday Parfitt.

Wayne is survived by his children, Martiann Parfitt, of Sacramento, Calif., William Parfitt, of Pottsville, and Wayne Parfitt, of Newport News, Va. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Catherine, wife of Ali, Abigail, Benjamin, of Newport News, Va., Donald, of Norfolk, Va., and Josiah, of Kileen, Texas, and great-grandchildren, Kayla, Brooke, James, Olivia and Parker.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. Family and friends are welcome from 10 a.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
