For several years Dave came to my classroom and showed students a slideshow all about the history of Stanwood and Camano Island then he took us on a walk around town and a tour of the D.O. Pearson House. This was such a gift to the students. Dave was a treasure to this community and his legacy at the Stanwood historical Society is immeasurable. He was such a kind, hardworking community member who cared so much for his fellow man. What a joy to have known him.

My condolences to Mr. Eldridge's family. I was fortunate to have him as my 8th grade history and English teacher at Stanwood Middle School. He was such a kind man and a wonderful teacher.

Dave was always such a gentle and helpful mentor when I taught with him at Stanwood Middle School. He was able to grow ideas in his student's minds and also grew wonderful flowers in his yard. What a wonderful builder in the Historical Society and Floyd which he grew for the community of Stanwood and Camano Island.
