I took two history classes under Dr. Meyers. I loved the way he lectured, almost like telling a story. He was a no nonsense instructor and did not hesitate to keep order in his class. May his memory be eternal.

Duane Myers fired my love of history in his presentations of 20th century Europe in war and peace. I recall that he had us read Stefan Zweig, and later I spent several delightful (and paid!) weeks as his assistant ordering books for the library. He was always an interesting conversationalist and observer of events present and past. Condolences to his wife and family from a friend and former student.
