My deepest condolences and prayers to the family and all relatives. It has been an honor and privilege to know and work with Mr. Floyd E. Keels during our military together in the 108th Division, 1-321st Regt (DS). Take your rest, my battle buddy.

I knew Floyd from working with him on the board of Eastern Carolina Community Foundation for a few years. He and I have stayed in contact over the years and I always left our conversations uplifted from his compassion and spiritual encouragement. Floyd was a wonderful man and I treasure having known him. I know you will miss him. God Bless you Floyd!

I recall Floyd as being an upright man of God. He was always welcoming and always made me feel at home. I always felt I could be myself whenever I was around Floyd; he always had an encouraging word. I will truly miss him, but he will live in my heart forever.

My last special moment with Bro. Floyd Keels was at our Montgomery 15th Biennial Family Reunion. Cousin Floyd, led the family in such a soul touching prayer to open up our Banquet on September 2, 2023. He was very enthusiastic about of getting a publisher to publish his manuscript about "A true story of an amazing African American journey". Hope, Promise & Deliverance, Caroline Montgomery´s Family! What a wonderful man of God, gone but will never be forgotten!
