Graham was the second of four boys in the Farmer family. We grew up on a farm where we were all expected to contribute to farming tasks. Graham was not an enthusiatic farm worker but he could always be counted on to do his share. He had a good sense of humor. Growing up, when one or all of us boys were getting into a little devilment Graham was always a ready participant and usually got a bigger laugh than the rest of us. Graham did not go to college, instead he joined the Marine Corp. where he quickly discovered that was a profession too difficult to enjoy. He did get to spend a little over two of his four years of his Marine Corp. commitment at a beautiful Marine base in Hawaii. Possibly due to his Marine Corp service Graham was always very punctual in his working and personal life, best illustraded by his always arriving about 30 minutes prior to his place of work and attending church.
