Conner
FLORENCE – Jimmie Edward Conner, 75, died Wednesday, December 30, 2020, after an illness.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 1, 2020, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home. All recommended COVID19 precautions will be required.
He was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Edward Brantley and Ruth Pope Conner. He served two tours of duty in Viet Nam with the U.S. Air Force. Jimmie was an automobile saleman most of his life.
Jimmie had a giving heart, and was a Shriner for many years. His greatest joy was his family.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia S. Conner; a daughter, Tammy Michelle Sansbury; a son, Jimmie (Lisa Hughes) Conner; four grandchildren, Anna Riley (Gabriel) Logsdon, James Walter Sansbury, Blake Edward (Mallory) Conner, and Bailey Conner; and a great-grandchild, Harper Blake Conner, all of Florence; and a number of extended family members.
