HAYES

MULLINS, S.C. -- Robert H Hayes, 76, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Loris Rehabilitation Center after an illness. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Devotion Gardens Cemetery, directed by Richardson Funeral Home of Marion. The service will be streamed live on the Richardson Funeral Home (Marion, SC) Facebook page for those unable to attend.

Mr. Hayes was born in Marion, a son of the late Ella Pauline Collins Hayes and Robert Hayes, Sr. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Joe Hayes; his sisters Judy Tunstall and Jean Hayes. Mr. Hayes is retired from the South Carolina Department of Corrections, where he worked in maintenance. He is also retired from the South Carolina National Guard, where he served 21 years.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ivey Hayes of the home; a son, Eric Hayes (Bridgette) of Mullins, grandchildren, Dustin E. Hayes and Courtney Dix (John); sister, June Kay (John) of Galivants Ferry; and special sister-in-law Maxine Howell.
