William P. Turner

William Turner, 73, went to be with his Heavenly Father, Monday September 16, 2025, at his beloved home in Supply, NC.

He was born in Florence County. He attended Florence County Schools and University at Memphis, Tennessee. He was a member of the Baptist Faith and attended Filipino Christian Community Church in Florence, SC. He worked primarily in Manufacturing.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Isabelita "Lita" Santos; his parents, "Peggy" O. Turner and Lawton "Jack" Turner; and his siblings, Phillip Turner, Alice Lee (Bobby), Jacquelyn "Jackie" (L.W) Lee, Malcolm (Brenda) Turner and Bazil "Ted" Turner.

Surviving are his siblings, Danny Turner, David Turner, Jacob Turner and Ginger (Gene) Larke.

He was blessed with a close and loyal family and friends.

He loved any body of water especially the beach, boating and watching boats. He loved to travel. Never the center of attention keeping his thoughtful actions to himself, but you could find him in a crowd at the back quietly listening. He was a deep thinker pondering many subjects. He loved to debate you, and he loved to learn from you. He had a great sense of humor, and he would often break out in song while not gifted with singing it didn't stop him. He had an affinity for correct pronunciation of words. He rarely complained and faced life with a positive attitude.

A graveside service will be held at Florence Memorial Gardens, on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 1:30 PM, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
