Willie Edward "Bill" McDaniel
Mr. Willie Edward "Bill" McDaniel was born on July 25, 1935, in Florence County in the Savannah Grove Community. He was the 12th of 14 children born to Otho McDaniel and Corien Swinton-McDaniel. He transitioned to his new life on November 29, 2021, at the age of 86.
Bill attended Florence County Public Schools. He graduated from Wilson High School in the Class of 1953. He received both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Elementary and Secondary Administration and Special Education from South Carolina State College in Orangeburg, SC. He pursued further studies at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, and Francis Marion College in Florence, SC.
Bill leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Mrs. Deloma LaShaun "Shaun" (John) Graham, Fayetteville, NC, and Ms. Delisa LaShell "Shelly" McDaniel, Charlotte, NC; one granddaughter, Ms. Yazmyne LaKelle West, Fayetteville, NC; one grandson, Mr. Darius Jayden Carraway, Charlotte, NC; special lifelong friend, Ms. Betty C. McDaniel, Effingham, SC; and many dearly beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing and visitation will be 1 PM – 5 PM on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Ideal Funeral Parlor, 106 E. Darlington St, Florence, SC 29506. Graveside services will be at 12 noon on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Sunset Memory Gardens, 2615 Alligator Rd, Effingham, SC 29541.
Arrangements are entrusted to Ideal Funeral Parlor, Inc.
