Clifford Raymond Crosby, age 85, St. Cloud, MN, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 5, 2013 at 6:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Chapel, St. Cloud MN. Visitation will be Monday, August 5, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. A family graveside service, with full military honors provided by St. Cloud VFW Post #428, will be Tuesday, August 6 at Riverside Lutheran Cemetery, Ronneby, MN.
Clifford was born February 5, 1928 in Lincoln Township, Story County, IA to Harvey and Carrie M. (McLane) Crosby. He served in the United States Army from 1946 to 1947. Clifford married Lorraine Iris Foster on June 7, 1948 in St. Cloud, MN. He was employed as a truck driver for St. Cloud Rendering and Mengelkoch Trucking. Most recently, Clifford was employed as a driver for Executive Express. Clifford was a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed his two cats, Buddy and Babe, and watching TV, but especially loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children, Dennis "Denny" (Carol) Crosby of Jacksonville, FL; Dean (Noel) Crosby of St. Cloud, MN; Charlie "Joey" (Carla) Crosby of St. Joseph, MN; Roxanne Aamodt of Visalia, CA; Cindy (Tom) Fish of Sartell, MN; Linda (Darrell) Keeler of Clear Lake, MN; Cheryl "Susie" (Dave) Frie of St. Cloud, MN; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lorraine on November 17, 2005, and one sister, Frances Holiday.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
