Craig Fouquette Obituary

Craig L.Fouquette, 50

St. Paul formerly of St. Cloud

July 1, 1961~June 14, 2012

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 29 at Christ Church Newman Center, on the SCSU campus.

Craig was born in St. Cloud MN to Patrick and Lila Fouquette. He attended Sacred Heart Grade School, John XXIII Junior High and both Cathedral and Rocori High School. He excelled in football, wrestling, and qualified to compete in the state meet. He was also a member of senior homecoming royalty. After high school Craig enlisted in the Navy which allowed him to travel the world. He worked in Intelligence and Communications and was also an instructor. For most of Craig's adult life he worked in the aggregate industry, for the past 20 years at the Nelson Plant of Aggregate Industries., Inc.

In his spare time Craig collected and restored antiques, and attended shows. Rarely did several days pass without a trip to what he called "Marty's Junk Store," where he always found a treasure.

In his youth Craig was at times fearless, and would take on any dare. He was also the family member most creative with finding ways to make us laugh. He was a good listener, non-judgmental, and very intelligent. Most of all Craig was a selfless person who was greatly loved by all who knew him.

Craig is survived by his parents; brothers, Clint, Cory (Cyndi), Chad (Roxie), and sisters Camilla (Jeff) Cruz, and Carmen (Dan) Stier; Chris's partner, Denise Kampa; 11 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother Chris, and all of his grandparents.

Very sad to hear about Craig's death. I had not stayed in contact with Craig, but just hearing his name brought a smile to my face many memories from high school. May he rest in peace.
