Funeral services celebrating the life of Dan Hyndman, age 51 of Sartell will be at 11:30 am on Friday, November 11, 2011 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell. The Rev. Michael Wolfbauer will officiate. Dan died on Saturday, November 5, 2011 as a result of a hunting accident near the family cabin in Outing, MN.
Family and friends may call between 4-9 pm on Thursday and after 10:30 am on Friday at the gathering space at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell. St. Francis Xavier parish prayers will be at 7 pm on Thursday at the gathering space in Sartell. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
Dan was born in St. Cloud on May 4, 1960 to Dixon and Carol (Spencer) Hyndman. He graduated from Sartell High School and continued his education at the St. Cloud Business College. He married Beverly Traut on April 17, 1982 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell. Together they built a life with four wonderful daughters and their family dog, Rocky. Dan was a protective, precise and careful man who put great thought in everything he did. He always knew the right thing to do and wanted the best for his five girls. Dan worked for United Entertainment Corporation in St. Cloud as computer systems manager. He was a problem solver and was as devoted to his job as he was to his family. Dan loved to spend his spare time at the family cabin in Outing, Minnesota. He shared his love for music, fishing, four wheeling, traveling and snowmobiling with his family and many friends. He and Bev enjoyed sharing time in the kitchen and cooking together. Dan enjoyed wrestling with the only other "man" in the house, his boy Rocky. He also loved his hot tub, relaxing on a lazy Sunday afternoon listening to tunes or watching the game.
He will be remembered as an irreplaceable, loving husband and father. We will miss you forever.
Dan is survived by his wife Bev of Sartell; four daughters, Katie of Eagan, Jackie of Minneapolis, Alex of St. Cloud and Josie of Sartell; his mother Carol of Staples; siblings Kim Johnson of Stillwater, Kelly (Todd Krasja) Spencer of Cushing, Monica (Brian) Laudenbach of Rice and Kirby (Tora) Hyndman of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his father.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I have worked with Dan for 8 years and I had the upmost respect for him. I always enjoyed the time he was in my theater and all the help he gave us. This is a tough loss and he will greatly be missed.

It breaks my heart to hear about the passing of Dan. Katie has been one of my best friends for nearly 10 years and Bev and Dan have welcomed me with open arms during periodic visits with the family. I am so sorry for your loss Katie, Bev, Jackie, Alex, and Josie. I'm currently having a memory of how excited Dan was once at the cabin about his Corinne Bailey Rae album on his mp3 player that he hooked up to the speakers and how he sang it at the top of his lungs. :)

There isn't a minute of the day that goes by that I'm not thinking about you as you prepare for the next day, week, month, etc. without Dan. I will always remember the smile that was on his face at all times when I seen him. He was so proud of his family and wasn't afraid to let anyone know it.
