Age 52 of Woodbury passed away peacefully on February 4,2017 after a heroic battle with cancer. He was born December 8 1964 to Denis and Pat (Deters) Vogt.
Survived by his wife Michele; son Tyler, parents Denis and Pat, siblings Tim (Julie), Jeff, Doug (Natalie), Jodi Jacobson, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Graduated from Rocori High School in 1983, He earned a degree in the making of neon glass bending. Then pursued his degree in scientific glass blowing from Salem Community College in Salem, NJ. Worked as a glass blower for 3M for 23 years.
Preceded in death by grandparents Leo and Christine Vogt, Leonard and Sally Deters, aunt and uncles Larry Maciej, Rick and Nancy Vogt, sister-in-law Denise.
Services Friday Feb 9th at O'Halloran and Murphy, 8700 Valley Creek Road, Woodbury, MN Visitation 12:00 to 1:30 mass following visitation.

Is this Dan Vogt that lived in Raleigh, NC for a bit? We were roommates and friends with his brother. We lost touch but we all went through a tornado and lived to tell the tale. I have many stories of our life and friendship. I have thought of him often and hope, if it is true he is at peace. He was a charismatic young man and cherished our friendship. Love.

My condolences are sent to you during this difficult time. I grew up with Dan in our small neighborhood in Cold Spring. I have fond memories of playing softball games with the Vogt boys. Danny was always such fun - he got along with everyone and made everyone feel included in neighborhood activities. When my mom passed away four years ago, Dan attended the funeral and stopped over at our house to express his condolences. It meant a lot to me and my siblings. He was such a considerate and thoughtful person. He shall be missed by many. I am so, so sorry for your loss.

I am deeply saddened by this news. I was a high school buddy of Dan's and regret losing touch when I moved away from MN. Dan was a terrific person and I'll always remember the fun times we had together. My deepest sympathies to Dan's entire family.

He was my brother-in-law and we did not get to hang out as much as I would have liked to because of our distance. But when we got together I always enjoyed the time we spent. We had fun times enjoying a beer together on our family trips to the beach. We will miss his humor and generous nature. Michelle and Tyler, we promise we will always be there for you.

I am so greatfull what Dan has given me.
