Delphine "Del" Mildred Stoermann, age 86, of Albany, formerly of Holdingford, died Monday, September 18, 2017 at Mother of Mercy Senior Living in Albany. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Church of All Saints-St. Mary's Catholic Church in Holdingford with Fr. Lauren Virnig officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am at the church. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Holdingford.
Del was the first born of 13 children to Raymond and Victoria (Stegura) Paggen on August 20, 1931 in St. Rosa, MN.
On September 30, 1950, she married Boniface Stoermann at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Holdingford where the couple raised their family. Del spent most of her life in Holdingford where she spent many days lovingly taking care of grandchildren. Her grandchildren fondly remember her tireless patience, the smile and wave from grandma as the school bus went past her and grandpa's home and the abundance of cookies and candy for all of them. She was a lifelong member of St. Marys Catholic Church and Christian Mother's.
Del frequently hosted family gatherings and meals where coffee and conversation were always abundant. She enjoyed her plants, flowers and decorating for EVERY possible holiday! Del also enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casino and the Dollar Store.
Delphine is survived by her sons; Ken (Linda) Stoermann, Avon; Kevin (Joanne) Stoermann, St. Cloud; Jeff (Lisa) Stoermann, Holdingford; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; siblings Marilyn Douvier, Albany; Claudette (Joseph) Czech, Gilman; Millie May, Holdingford; Ronald (Arlene) Paggen, Opole; Ben (Dorothy)Paggen, Raymond (Sandy) Paggen, and Joe (Diane) Paggen, all of St. Stephen.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Boniface "Boni"; infant son Keith Stoermann, parents Raymond and Victoria Paggen, her brothers Kenneth, Richard, Dennis, James and David Paggen.
