We met Don and Rosemary in Arizona in the late 1990's. We were totally entrigued by his amazing woodworking skills. We purchased "extra" pieces of his heart necklaces for special gifts to friends. Today I planned to give my cousin one of the hearts for her birthday and just thought of looking up on the internet to see if he was still making the magnificent jewelry. We were sorry to hear of his recent passing. We will continue to treasure his wooden hearts. As a high school math teacher, I often wore the wooden cross, and my students were totally intrigued. He has blessed many people with his wooden heart/crosses.

My heart is broken at this time. Don was a great teacher, fantastic track coach, and good friend. While in track, I remember running the 200 yard relay for the first time and when we were done he came up to me and said "never try to pass on the curves." Really appreciate everything he did for his team's.

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of a truly awesome man, our friend Don. Our memories of the fun times in Arizona with Don and Rosemary are the best. It was so fun playing rummy cube and learning to play Euchere. He will truly be missed. We know that he is in a wonderful place, joined by many other saints that we know. Please know that we pray for you and your family that Don's memory will live on.
