Eileen E. Schwieters

St. Cloud - Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta for Eileen E. Schwieters, age 81, of St. Cloud who passed away at her home on Sunday, December 24, 2017. Reverend Jose Edayadiyil will officiate. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum in Mendota Heights on Thursday.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Parish Center in St. Augusta. Parish prayers will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday at the Parish Center. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Eileen was born on June 13, 1936 in Freeport, Minnesota to Fred and Mildred (Stueve) Vogel. She married Guy Schwieters August 24, 1957 in Freeport. Eileen worked for Northwest Airlines in the Accounts Receivable Department for many years.

She enjoyed crocheting, music and dancing, her children and grandchildren, and also having a Kanuper.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Susan) of Bismarck, ND, Gail (Bruce) Denham of San Diego, CA, Greg (Connie) of Bloomington and Gina (Mike) Oakland of Burnsville; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Claude (Janice) of Albany, Jerry of St. Cloud, Fred (Evelyn) of Monticello, Helen (Dennis) Obermiller of Coon Rapids, Eunice Brazil of Clearwater, and Bonnie (Gene) Quast of Monticello; and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Guy in 2007; sisters, Mary Ann Lennon, Millie Overman, and Jeanette Ostendorf.
