Elmer Kuseske Obituary

Elmer Kuseske

Buffalo - Elmer Lawrence Kuseske died in Buffalo, MN on Oct. 20, 2018 at the age of 95.

He was born on Jan. 19, 1923 on a farm near Kimball, MN the last of 11 children born to immigrants Adam and Mary (Dinkfelt) Kuseske. After moving to another farm north of Kimball his 1st to 8th grade education happened in a 1 room schoolhouse. Many years later he earned his GED.

On May 27, 1944 he married Frances Mildred Dammann and for four years they rented a farm near Kimball after which they owned a small general store in Sedan, MN from 1948-52. For 2 ½ years he commuted to St. Cloud to work in a factory while Frances ran the store and raised 2 boys. Tom, their first son was born in St. Cloud in '46 and Mike was born in Glenwood in '50. They lived in a rented home near Kimball during the spring and summer of '52 before they moved to Austin, MN where Elmer worked as a Federal Government Meat Inspector at the Hormel Plant.

They moved to Milwaukee in '69 where for 2 years he inspected small meat packing facilities. In '71 they moved to Buffalo where he did the same.

Where ever they lived they were very involved in their congregation serving in many roles and activities. Church was very important to them. Gardening and fishing were favorite activities for both Elmer and Frances and, of course, keeping up with grandchildren's activities.

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Amelia, Bertha, Helen, Martha, Minnie, William, Edward, Ervin, Reynold, and Loretta.

He is survived by his wife Frances and sons Thomas (Cherice) of Mora, MN and Michael (Judy) of Royal Palm Beach, FL. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews.

He is now in the bass section of the Great Heavenly Choir praising Jesus his Lord and Savior.
