Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley for Frank M. Lahr, age 94, of Paynesville who passed away at Cherrywood Advanced Living of Richmond on Tuesday. Rev. Aaron Nett will officiate and burial will be at the Parish Cemetery in Eden Valley. Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Eden Valley and one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Saturday. Knights of Columbus will pray at 5:30 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

 Frank was born October 16, 1921 in St. Nicholas to Peter and Elizabeth (Kinzer) Lahr, one of 16 children. He married Mabel Lounsbury on May 24, 1948 at Church of Our Lady in Manannah. They were married for 65 years and were blessed with 13 children.  Frank worked as a farmer. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley, was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Catholic United Financial.  Frank enjoyed going to auctions, threshing shows, his wife's cooking, playing cards and traveling. He was a hard worker who never complained. Frank was a kind, loving man with a strong Catholic faith and a great smile.

 Frank is survived by his children, Linda Abraham (special friend Thomas Whittet) of New Ulm, Ronald L. of Eden Valley, Joyce (Wayne) Henfling of Eden Valley, Thomas (Jill) of Paynesville, Gene of Grey Eagle, Wayne of West Concord, Harry (Shannon) of Buffalo, Lynn Kay (Vance) Kesler of Roseville, Nancy (Jim) Segal of North Andover, MA, Joann (Jerry) Leimer of Cloquet; sister, Aurelia (Wilfred) Becker of Cold Spring; 23 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Mabel in 2013; sons, Gary, Frank, Jr. and Dale; daughter in law, Linda Lahr; son in law, Glenn Abraham; 2 great grandchildren; siblings George, Betty Braun, Herbert, Leander, Peter, Lorraine Spoden, Isabel Bares, Ovide, Reynold, Alvin, Alcuin, Ralph, Marie Wieber, and Angeline Shay.
