Gary A. Strom

Little Falls - Gary A. Strom, 72 year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at his home. Arrangements are pending with the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN.

Gary was born on October 27, 1946 in Duluth, MN to the late Willard and Helen (Dougherty) Strom. He grew up in the Duluth area where he attended school. Upon graduation, he entered into the United State Marine Corps. in 1968 and served three tours of duty in Vietnam. While in Vietnam, Gary was a K9 Handler as well as a Tunnel Rat. He was honorably discharged in 1970 and was a Purple Heart recipient. Gary was united in marriage to Mary Theis on December 2, 1995 in Duluth, MN. In his free time, Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a very talented dog trainer. He trained many hunting dogs over the years for himself as well as for other people. He also volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader for several years. Gary was dearly loved and will always be remembered for his great sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Mary "Susie" Theis-Strom of Little Falls, MN; son, Devin Strom of Little Falls, MN; brothers, Thomas Strom of Scotland, UK and Randy (Cindy) Strom of Duluth, MN and grandson, Matthew Strom of Blaine, MN.

Gary was preceded in death by parents, Willard and Helen Strom; son, Derek Strom and brothers, Rick and Tracy Strom. shelleyfuneralchapels.com / 320-632-5242
