I thought the world of George. he gave me a chance and hired me to work in his chevron station in 1968. I stayed until 1971. I learned a lot from George. like tom McGee I had an opportunity to tell George what he meant to me over lunch a couple of years ago. im glad I got the chance to do that. my thoughts are with the pryde family

Margarete...I don't know if you remember me..Tom McGee I worked for your dad in the late 70's and early 80's..I am so sorry to hear of your dads passing..I have to say I am in business for myself the last 20 years and my time working and fishing with your dad I learned so much about people and how to deal with people.I ran into your dad about 15yrs ago in Bodega Bay and I told him how much he meant to me and I thought I saw a tear.My heart is heavy with the Passing of an El Cerrito Icon..Love to the family....Tom McGee

Dixie, Georgia, Harriet and Margaret:
I'm so sad to hear that your dad passed away. Please accept my deepest condolences. I am so thankful I had that nice long visit with him a few months ago. He was sharp as a tack and made me feel like I was a 13 year old kid again and Dixie's co-partner in crime. To all his girls I have the most admiration. You all banded together and took such good care of him. What a lucky man he was to have all of you. On that last visit I had with him nothing was more evident than how very proud he was of each one of you. RIP Mr. Pryde, you left a legacy here on earth.
