Helen Poletti of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the age of 91 years. She is survived by her husband Siro; daughter and son-in-law Emma and Steve, son and daughter-in-law Elmer and Sharon, son Lorne and daughter Bernice; brother Mike; sisters Pauline, Mary and Joyce as well as numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Anthony and her daughter Lorraine. Helen always loved her work and happily volunteered for many organizations over the years. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 - 14th Street S.W.) on Wednesday, August, 27, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association, #204, 2323 – 32nd Avenue N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 6Z3 Telephone: (403) 266-0620, ext. 112, www.diabetes.ca. In living memory of Helen Poletti, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
