Jacob "Jake" Weber, age 91, of Glenwood, died December 20, 2012, at Glacial Ridge Hospital. Preceded in death by his parents, Barthel and Catherine (Mehr), and brothers Tony and Joe. Jake was born August 26, 1921, in Roscoe, Minnesota. A graduate of Melrose High School. He was united in marriage to Edith "Ede" Olberding in Sauk Centre on June 12, 1944. Jake was a member of the Catholic Aid Association in Melrose since 1940 and a Knights of Columbus chater member for both the Sauk Centre and Glenwood Councils. He was employed as a mechanic until 1953, worked for the Minneapolis Star Tribune as a circulation supervisor, and a factory rep for Berekley Pump from 1970 to 1983. Retiring in 1983, he enjoyed fishing, traveling, golf, and doing volunteer work for various organizations. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Edith "Ede"; children Dale (Bonnie), Gary (Alice), Pam (Don) Bjorkman, and Connie (Tom) Noss; grandchildren Nicole, Erica, John, Erin, Ryan, and Casey; great granchildren Andrew, Alexa, Kadyn, Austin, Jack, Trevin, Avah Jo, Ayla, Landon, and Aksel; also many relatives and friends. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 105 N. Franklin Street, Glenwood. Inurnment at a later date. Visitation after 9AM, Wednesday at the CHURCH. Evans Nordby Funeral Home 763-533-3000
