Sept. 19, 1935 - Aug. 11, 2014
Father James David Hahn, 78, retired priest from Christ The King Church in Cambridge. Attended St. John's University. Ordained June 3, 1961 at St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Cloud. Served as assistant pastor at Holy Angels, St. Anthony's, and pastored at Holy Spirit churches all in St. Cloud. He also pastored at parishes in Fergus Falls, Pelican Rapids, Herman, Donnelly, Wadena, Bluffton, Menagha, & Bluegrass. In 1993 he became pastor at Christ The King Church, retiring on July 2, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM, Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014 at Christ The King Catholic Church, Cambridge. Receiving of the body at 3PM Friday, followed by visitation 4-8PM Friday at the church with prayer service at 7PM All night Eucharistic Adoration Vigil at the church. Interment in parish cemetery.

I had the honor of being an altarboy for Fr. Hahn when he was at St. Ann's in Wadena. And I do remember his "To the Point" column in the St. Cloud Visitor, which I read and remember him talking about his cat "Magnificat". He was a great priest that I will always remember.

I will forever keep this wonderful Priest in my prayers. He will be sadly missed by many.

I remember Father Hahn from teaching at St Cloud Cathedral. He was so proud of his little red Carmen Gia....named Ruby. Still today when I see one of those cars, I think of him.

I never had the honor of meeting Father Hahn but I recall fondly his column in the St Cloud Visitor written from the point of view of his cat "Magnificant" My wife and I always looked forward to reading it.
