Extending my deepest sympathies to the Notch family. John has also been such a big part of our Luxemburg community and will be greatly missed by all. We have many fond memories of you John and you will live within our hearts forever. Don't know how far out the fences are in heaven, but I'm sure you will be hitting knocking the ball over them...

"it's going, it's going, it's gone. When John was up to bat, this was a common call. John played on the Sea Gull Marine soft ball team for nearly 20 years. John averaged over 1 home per game, sometimes hitting 2 or 3. After rounding the bases, and the usual high fives, John would sit on the bench and smile. We never asked, but always wondered while catching behind the plate, how he got the up umpires to laugh and smile.

John was not only an ambassador to the game, but a roll model to all in the game of life. His care, kindness, and being Mr. genuine, will be remembered by all that knew John.

The good Lord knew what he was doing. He wanted John Notch on HIS team.

With sincere sympathy,

Mel and JoAnn Lommel

What a guy!! He is going to be missed by EVERYBODY...sometimes a man of a few words..."keep trying". "you gotta SLIDE!" "Choke up!" "Get em Next time". or my least favorite "You're out." He and Ma don't miss too many ball games and he was definitely his families biggest fan. With pride he watched you play and enjoyed every minute of it. Some people can say they have a good dad...not too many can say they had a GREAT one. You guys had a great one. Showing us what it means to be part of a community by giving, donating, volunteering endlessly to make Luxemburg better. Always ready and willing to help. From our family to yours we send our deepest sympathies to you all during this difficult time. May stories, pictures, memories in time heal your broken hearts... He will forever be remembered for his kindness and community service.
