Mike ("Stick" we called him because we had 4 Mikes in the band) always had a kind word and a big smile on his face. We played in the band Phoenix together. Sometimes I'd go to see him and Elly and their bang Karman Goldwyn when they performed in Willmar. Rock on, Mike!

I just heard of Mike's passing and am very sorry. He was my brother, Don's, best friend. He used come to our house and I was a little in awe of him as I was younger and quite a band groupie. He had a big yellow convertible and he let me take it for a drive. I don't think he expected me to take the back roads to Moorhead. He was a great guy.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss and ours too, as we consider Mike & Elly part of our family as well. He will be missed so very much. I know how much Mikey enjoyed his talks with his dad when he called him frequently. Just remember that he was loved by everyone.
God saw him getting tired, a cure was not meant to be, so He put His arms around him and whispered . . . "Come home to me."

So sorry to hear about Mike's passing. I was a classmate of Mike's and glad I got to see him at our last reunion. Prayers to his family.

I will miss my friend of 40 years. I first me him through his brother Jeff when I was 16. Jeff was a great friend and I have missed him since he passed. But I will miss Mike even more. We have had great times together and he will never be replaced. There is a hole in my life now that won’t be filled.

My first memory of Mike was when his band The Unbelievable Uglies came to play in Brookings, my college town, back in the 1970's. Their ambition and musicianship blew me away; it's somehing I've never forgotten. What a joy it was, then, to reconnect with him again through Jason many, many years later. Mike and his family are truly a class act that I will love and cherish for all eternity.

May God bless the Stice family in this time of sorrow. I have known Mike and Ellie for many years through our church. Mike was friendly and I usually got a hug. My love and prayers are with you!
