Neil Zniewski Obituary
St. Cloud
February 5, 1935 - August 1, 2012
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M Monday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in St. Cloud for Neil Wayne Zniewski, 77, of St. Cloud who died on Wednesday at Quiet Oaks Hospice House. Rev. Aaron Bell will officiate and burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sauk Rapids. Friends and relatives may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and also one hour prior to services at the church in St. Cloud on Monday. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Neil W. Zniewski was born February 5, 1935 in St. Cloud to Emil and Ethel (Stark) Zniewski. He was married to Donna Maas on July 12, 1969 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Neil co-owned and operated Rex Granite in St. Cloud with his brothers since 1970. He enjoyed spending time with his family and he was very passionate about his work. Neil loved being at his cabin in Outing, which he built with his dad and brothers. He also enjoyed four-wheeling, fishing, deer hunting and watching sports, especially the Minnesota Twins, and St. Cloud State University Hockey and Basketball.
Survivors include his wife Donna of St. Cloud; children, Gary Zniewski of Duelm, Holly (Jeff) VanderWeyst of Sartell, Tina Zniewski-Barber of Rice; brothers, Earl (Jan)Zniewski and Carl (Janet) Zniewski; and grandchildren, Kip Zniewski, Shauni Zniewski and Morgan Barber. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Joyce Thiss and Karen Sall.
