The Taufen Family-
My heart dropped when I found out about Pete's passing. He was my first ever coach (little league softball Royals) and I can't say enough of how blessed I was to be on his team!! He instilled in me so many wonderful things like confidence, belief in my teammates and in myself and most importantly, he taught me how to have fun and enjoy the game of softball. He put in the seeds that began my softball career and that lead me to the amazing opportunity to play collegiate softball! I have so many good memories of this great man! In fact, our team picture from my very first year is still hanging up in my old bedroom at my mom's and I will continue to keep those great memories close to my heart! My thoughts are with your family!

Becky, Michelle and Chad,
We were lucky to have known your dad. He was the type of person we'd like to be.....now and when we retire. Even though we knew each other for only a few years we knew he was a family man that enjoyed his sunset years....Both of us will miss him. The service was beautiful....our prayers for strength is for you all.

Pete was a huge part of my childhood. When I think of him, I see him smiling and laughing. He loved his kids so much and I was not surprised at all to hear Becky tell me how much he loved Kalli and how involved he was in her life. That was Pete, hands on. I am still trying to come to terms with this reality. I think I took it granted that someday, I would run into him or get together with Becky and see him. It seems impossible to believe he is not here anymore. But really, he is here. He lives on in those who loved him. I'm so sorry for your loss Becky, Michelle and Chad. I love you guys and I'm thinking of you. I came home tonight and told the kids all about him, my way of thanking him for his part in my life, he was a good guy!!!

Lois and Family. I never met you, but I did work with Pete at DRC and shared lunch with him most days. Everything I have read in this Guest Book and in the obituary is true. If you ever heard him mention a friend at DRC with whom he had a friendly St. John's/St. Olaf rivalry, that was me. I so wish I had called him after the recent game. He truly loved his family, and talked of you every day. My heartfelt sympathy to all of you. He was a great man.

The world is not fair. Your sudden loss is unfathomable. Pete was an amazing man who I admired and enjoyed being around. He was everyone's "grandpa" at all the sporting events he attended. Pete will be deeply missed. I am sorry for your loss.
