Rita Berg Obituary
St. Joseph, Minnesota - Rita age 31 of St. Joseph, passed away on March 8, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. John's Abbey Church, Collegeville, at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018, with reception following. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Rita is survived by her loving parents, Melvin and Theresa, her sister, Jennifer, her brother, Daniel and many loving relatives.
Rita was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Rita has been a strong advocate for women's rights, especially regarding helping women lawyers be true to themselves. Rita wanted everyone to love themselves and others. She had a deep sense of caring and compassion, which shined a light on all those who knew her.
Rita had attended St. John's Prep school and also graduated with honors from St. Thomas University, where she earned her law degree. Rita set up her own law practice and worked as a joyful defense attorney. She was an avid reader and a very good author. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
As Rita said: I just love you, as is, all ways, always.

Words cannot explain the love I will always have for you. You were the kindest, most caring, and beautiful person I have ever known. I feel so blessed for the years of friendship we had together and will treasure the countless memories we made together. She was a kindred spirit, a dancing light, full of love for anyone she encountered.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Rita's passing at the law school. She was always a kind, gentle, upbeat advocate on both a personal and professional level. She will be missed.
