Mass of Christian Burial for Robert J. "Bob" Ertl, 57, of Watkins will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins. Bob passed away following a short battle with cancer on April 22, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday (TODAY) and from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, both at the Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Bob was born on March 29, 1957 at St. Paul, MN. He was the son of Alphonse and Elizabeth "Betty" (Post) Ertl. He attended St. John's Prep and graduated from Eden Valley - Watkins High School. He was an OTR Truck Driver all of his working life.
Survivors include his children, Tanya (Craig) Reinert of Watkins, Mitch Ertl of Litchfield, Jake Ertl of Watkins, Abby Ertl of Watkins; grandchildren, Gina and Grant; brother and sister, Tom (Amy) Ertl of Watkins, Mary (Robert "Sherman") Gross of Watkins; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
