Robert W. Fruth, 76

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta, for Robert W. Fruth, age 76, of St. Augusta who passed away with family by his side on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the St. Cloud V.A. Health Care System. Reverend Jose Edayadiyil will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery with full military honors.

 Family and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

 Bob was born on July 18, 1940 in Luxemburg to Hubert and Alvina (Voigt) Fruth. He served honorably in the United States Navy. Bob married Mary Rausch on November 28, 1963 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta. Throughout his life Bob worked construction, owned and operated Fruth Trailer Sales and most recently retired from Metro Transit. He was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church and Nocturnal Adoration, Catholic United Financial, and the St. Augusta American Legion Post #621.

 Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, yard work and attending his grandchildren's hockey games. He especially loved all the time spent with his family.

 He is survived by his wife; children, Scott of St. Cloud, Tim of Hopkins, Mike of St. Cloud, Laura Levinski of St. Cloud, Dave (Kelly) of North Branch; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Eugene (Janet), Ralph (Judy), Ron (Judy) all of St. Cloud; and many nieces and nephews.

 Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
