Roger Millard Obituary
Big Lake - Roger A. Millard passed away suddenly at his residence on March 9, 2018 at 63 years of age. He resided in the Big Lake area for the past 25 years, spending his summers at the Carefree Country Club.
Roger was born 11-20-1954 in Canby, MN to Don and Esther Millard. He graduated from Sauk Rapids High School in 1973 and began a long career as a bartender. His outgoing personality, great sense of humor and biting wit made him a natural behind the bar. He enjoyed golf, fly fishing and was an avid hunter, once shooting a 400 lb. black bear with a recurve bow. Riding his Harley Davidson was a favorite pastime and when he bought a bar and grill he named it Scooter's.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother in law (Linda and Al Friendshuh), and sister in law (Rita). He is survived by brothers: Bruce (Judy) Millard, Larry Millard, Doug (Colleen) Millard, David (Nancy) Millard and sisters: Gail (Jim) Leikvoll, Mary (Rich) Vouk, Deb (Tom) Robison and many nieces and nephews. Roger also leaves behind his beloved companion Auggie Doggie.
Roger's sense of humor brightened the lives of family and friends. All are invited to a celebration of life on April 8th from 1 to 4 pm at the Monticello VFW.
