Ryan Voss Obituary

Ryan Russell Voss, 42

Sartell

Mar. 20, 1974 - Dec. 11, 2016

Services celebrating the life of Ryan R. Voss, 42, Sartell, will be at 2:30 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Celebration Lutheran Church, Sartell with Pastor Elizabeth Strenge officiating.  Ryan died at his home Sunday morning after battling debilitating chronic illnesses.  There will be a visitation from 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home, St. Cloud and again Saturday after 1:30 PM at Celebration Lutheran Church, Sartell.

Ryan was born on March 20, 1974 to Vernon "Vern" and Rachelle "Bery" (Solarz) Voss in St. Cloud and was raised with his sister Heather.  He graduated from Sartell High School and received his Bachelor's in Business from St. Cloud State University.  Ryan was a part of the Civil Air Patrol and practiced Tai Chi.  He spent nearly 10 years as an auditor for the Department of Revenue before being unable to work.  Ryan was a kind man with a heart of gold who always put others before himself.  He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.  Ryan also loved to play ping pong and even won a motorcycle after beating his father at ping pong.  He was introduced to Sue through his sister who recognized they shared many mutual interests.  To Ryan, it was the happiest year of his life and was a bright light after being in pain for over 20 years.  He was a very spiritual person and was a member of Celebration Lutheran Church.

Ryan is survived by his parents Vern and Bery Voss, St. Joseph; his fiancée and the love of his life Sue Stueve, Sartell; his sister Heather (Brian) Hansen, Sartell; his grandmothers Delores Voss and Grace Solarz; his niece Kaylee Hansen; his nephew Carter Hansen; and his great-nephew Aiden Hansen; Sue's children Jay and Sommer Stueve; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his beloved pets MeowMeow, Cheetah, and Freddy.

He is preceded in Heaven by his grandfathers Felix Solarz and Vernon H. Voss, his uncle Kevin Voss, and his aunt Ruby Voss.

Our hearts are broken at the loss of a special man. Ryan was a quiet, sensitive, gentle, and caring person. He loved his family dearly and made time to help out as much as he could, even though he often didn't feel the best. We have another angel in heaven and at peace. But we still struggle with his loss...
