Steven Brausen Obituary

Steven Lawrence Brausen, 64

Naples, FL

Steven Lawrence Brausen of Naples, Florida, passed away at Naples Community Hospital on January 18, 2017, at the age of 64. He was born in Minnesota. He graduated from Annandale High School in 1970, St. Cloud State University in 1974, and worked on a master's degree at Emporia State University in Kansas. Steven called Naples his home for the past 30 years, where he worked in various positions and finally became very involved in his love of music, singing in various organizations in the area, including Christmas carolers and the Naples United Church of Christ choir.

Survivors include his siblings: Garry (Carol) Brausen of Buffalo, MN, Kathy (Ron) Hoglund of Big Lake, MN, and Barbara Brausen of St. Cloud, MN. He is further survived by nieces and nephews and his wonderful family of friends in Naples. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Marcy Brausen, who resided in Bonita Springs, FL in their later years.

Steven was a kind, gentle, talented man, a true gentleman, and he will be missed tremendously. May he rest in peace.

A memorial service for Steven was held at the Naples United Church of Christ on January 23, 2017.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and deep gratitude to Aurora Wells, Naples, for all of the care, comfort, kindness, and support she provided to Steven and his family over the past few weeks.
