Mrs. Schwegel & Family:
I'm deeply saddened by Mr. Schwegel's passing. Many fond memories come flooding back to me when I think of all the great times we had at the Sauk River and Mr. Schwegel's "Field of Dreams" baseball diamond just down the road from the Schwegel home. It was primarily at that field where many of us honed our baseball skills under the watchful eye of Mr. Schwegel. I recall many visits to the mound by Mr. Schwegel and the tough love he administered in an attempt to extract the best out of our skills. He was tough, but yet fair. He instilled and cultivated physical and mental toughness in all of us at a very young age and I'm in debt to him for emphasizing those traits. I was very fortunate to experience Mr. Schwegel at his very best, which was stalking the baselines while coaching and prodding us to be the best we could be. May our Lord and Savior guide Mr. Schwegel to a place of refreshment, light, and peace for eternal rest.

Dear Schwegel Family all. You all have lost a special person and we send our deepest sympathy. Bill was such a likeable person and shared his interest in our boys basketball & baseball, providing all of us with such fun and optimism for those boys. We always enjoyed games when Bill was there to keep us going. How happy we are that we shared those things with you all, times never to be forgotten.May God Bless, know we'll feel your loss also,Olin & Dava Angell
